Apart from being my favourite Christopher Cross song, sailing is an understandably coveted pursuit, gently but gladly removing you from your thoughts and carrying you through a realm of calm. Journeying to and from Ilha Grande involved sitting on a crowded but beautiful sailboat and watching the world pass by. The heat and noise quickly melted away as the stunning scenery and ocean breeze filled our drifting minds. The graduated fade of distant lands emerging through clouds, as well as the charming sailboats, provided the scenery with depth and thus I had to take a few photos.From the docks I used the Olympus 12-40mm F/2.8 but once on board I reverted to the 40-150mm F/2.8, each mounted on the EM-5.
