So Theresa and myself, who were both on the photo walk back in May, decided to revisit the same route but see if we could take some original images. It was a challenge to take the same route and yet try to come up with new images in the pursuit of making the familiar unfamiliar. Even though I feel my images this time were perhaps not as strong as previously, I think it was a worthwhile exercise to force ourselves to see new ideas along a route we had photographed before. It is rarely so much the location that is limited, but rather our own imaginations. We actually started our walk in St James's Park, and then continued along the Strand, across Waterloo Bridge as the sun was setting and then down onto the South Bank.To add to the challenge, I undertook the discipline of using just one lens for all these shots, the Olympus 60mm F/2.8. After the photo walk, we took some long exposures at dusk, but I will present those in a separate post.
