The architect Robert Adam was commissioned Osterley's owners, the Child's family, to redesign the Tudor mansion and render it a modern and conspicuous exhibit of wealth. He certainly succeeded, and his neo-classical style is very impressive. Now managed by National Trust, the interiors are magnificent and opulent, teeming with beautiful artwork, ceilings and tapestries, only some of which are presented below. Once again we thank the excellent guides for imparting so much of their time and knowledge, and making the visit such an enriched experience.
