So, recently, a large corporation (who shall remain nameless here as they’re not paying me to advertise them) asked for my permission to use one of my images of London for their new twitter account. They agreed to pay my licensing fee, which I even reduced for them (even though it’s barely a business expense for multi-billion dollar company). Of course I never heard from them again, which is unsurprising. I couldn’t care less about the money but the lack of courtesy is a little grating. I’ve always believed that politeness and courtesy are like an air cushion; there’s nothing in it but it eases the jolts very nicely :)Anyway, the picture they asked to use wasn’t a particularly good one, but it did make me wonder what my favourite images of London are. Frankly, there are too many to chose from. And that’s more of a reflection on how photogenic this city is rather than on my photography.Below is a quick random selection of some images that I particularly like. Some have been published in magazines in the past, and my selection reflects both the vibrancy of colour and light and interesting geometry of architecture found in this city.They were shot with either a mirrorless or DSLR camera, and variety of associated lenses.I hope you enjoy them.
